High-Level Impact Reporting*

BCF aims to make nonprofit information widely available to our clients.  What we don’t always know is how you use funds made available through us to help achieve success. We strongly believe that the stories behind your good work are as important to the social sector’s advancement as the numbers on your charities registration return.  As a start, when you are completing your grant application, please consider the intended impact of your work in very simple terms.

One way of documenting impact is by crafting a sentence from the following guidelines.

Funding support from XXX [Name of Funder or Fund] will help my organisation…

For example, last year The Smith Family Fund at BCF helped our organisation preserve 5 acres of greenspace in Paget as a community garden – for the use of future generations of Bermuda residents.

This method in no way comprises a true programme evaluation or a true assessment of impact, but we hope that it serves as a useful starting point for you!
